»To realize our Social Networking concept ‘Web Album’ with browsing and direct upload of photos from the camera to popular social networks, we were happy to work with Communology’s professional and agile development team. Communology adapted and solved many of the key problems with social networking solutions, such as dynamic confi guration of social networks per country, direct upload/downlad to social networks to avoid huge costs on a proxy server, client software update over the air. Sony Ericsson’s Web Album is a Mobile Mash-up solution embedded in the native camera application of mobile phones. Users can sign in to their favorite social network and upload photos and videos from their mobile camera to communities like Blogger, Picasa, Flickr, Youtube, Facebook or Myspace. They can also download pictures to the application and store them locally. Via Communology’s Mash-Up gateway, Web Album connects directly to the social communities. This enables fl exible business pro cesses and update or local adaptation of the list of social networks without need to update the mobile client once it has been downloaded and installed on the phone. Web Album also shows a user’s contact list and status information for each community.
