2009-03-27: CTIA Wireless: Communology unveils white-label solution for visual
voice mail
T-Mobile is the first carrier to roll out LiveMedia Visual Voicemail starting with a range of
Symbian S60 devices.
Communology is showcasing a new product at the
International CTIA Wireless Convention in Las Vegas that will enable mobile network operators
to offer subscribers visual voice mail services. Visual voice mail (VVM) is revolutionizing
voice mail by providing access to messages through a convenient visual user interface
that allows users to listen to and manage messages directly on their handsets and place
return calls at the push of a button. Instead of calling their mailbox and working through
the audio menu in the conventional way, users can access messages interactively through
an easy-to-use visual user interface on their handsets. The key difference with this approach
is that voice messages are no longer stored in an external mailbox. They are delivered
to the phone by a push service and stored there in compressed files. This approach
transforms voice messaging from a voice service to a
data service.

messaging clients
Cologne, Germany, March 24, 2009: At the CTIA Wireless Convention (April 1-3, Las Vegas,
Nevada), Communology will be exhibiting the latest additions to its LiveMedia portfolio
of white-label solutions. These include LiveMedia Visual Voicemail, a solution designed
for mobile operators, which enables them to offer visual voice mail services based on
preinstalled client software on a wide range of devices. Visual voice mail (VVM) is revolutionizing
voice mail by enabling users to access incoming messages through a convenient
visual interface. Mobile communications providers all over the world now have a considerable
interest in offering subscribers VVM on a broad variety of devices. Unlike a conventional
voice service mail box, VVM is a data service that adds full mail box functionality to
